Life skills programme

SAHAY’s life skills program equips youth with social, financial, and emotional competencies to foster self-awareness, resilience, and community impact. It includes training in financial literacy, entrepreneurial skills, and emotional wellbeing to help participants manage challenges and build a brighter future.

Social and Financial Literacy Programme

This program aims to empower youth to become change agents in their communities and in their personal lives. It offers training in personal exploration, child rights awareness, financial planning, financial literacy, budgeting, and entrepreneurial skills. The training helps participants develop self-awareness, enhance their social responsibility skills, and gain practical tools to improve their financial management and entrepreneurial capabilities. By fostering these skills, the program prepares youth to make a positive impact in their communities and take charge of their future.

Emotional Wellbeing

The program aims to help children and youth (10-18 years) cope with stress, build resilience, and develop a vision for their future. It focuses on improving emotional expressiveness and adaptability to challenging situations, empowering participants to better manage their emotions and navigate life's difficulties.

Academic Guidance

Academic guidance is provided to students who have passed or are appearing for their 10th grade examination. The programme offers workshops and individual goal -setting exercises by experienced facilitators and life skill trainers. The programme purports to assist students in selecting courses and subjects according to their aspirations, interests, talent and aptitude.

Early Childhood Care & Development

The Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) programme focuses on children aged 2-6 years. It encourages caregivers to enrol children in local ICDS centres or pre-schools. The programme follows the government curriculum and includes activity-based learning for motor, cognitive, and social-emotional skills. It also offers training for children & parents on nutrition, hygiene, and growth monitoring.
